Docklands FC's Zackary Maston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rod Cookson in the 22nd minute of play. When Pat Addison fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Ayton` FC's protests and gave Pat Addison a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Great Ayton` FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pat Addison to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Adam Gettins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Great Ayton` FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Adam Gettins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Rod Cookson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zackary Maston was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. The supporters of Great Ayton` FC booed when Docklands FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colin Groom didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Colin Groom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alastair Hunt hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Rod Cookson came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Great Ayton` FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rod Cookson couldn't finish the play. Rod Cookson scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zackary Maston, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rod Cookson made a kick off. Rod Cookson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Docklands FC's Jacob Younger got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nathanial Hardcastle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Power in the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Great Ayton` FC's Will Ashby got a free kick in the 91st minute. Jacob Younger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathanial Hardcastle having to interfere. The Great Ayton` FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
