Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carmelo Fertus took the kick off in the first half of the match. Kasey Gates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeffrey Woodman having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Minehead's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Fertus came free, but Daryl Myers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Knutsford City's Carmelo Fertus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daryl Myers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Buster Laverick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barney Holyfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Minehead's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Knutsford City's Carmelo Fertus got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reg Wright to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kasey Gates in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeffrey Woodman saved Knutsford City from getting behind. 55 minutes into the game, Barney Holyfield was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Knutsford City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Minehead the free kick. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Carmelo Fertus took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Daryl Myers to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Knutsford City's Carmelo Fertus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daryl Myers. That made the score 0-5 after 71 minutes of play. 77 minutes into the match, Carmelo Fertus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daryl Myers. Minehead's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carmelo Fertus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. 81 minutes into the game, Carmelo Fertus recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Daryl Myers. Carmelo Fertus showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Minehead's Daryl Myers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Minehead from getting a goal against them. Daryl Myers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Fertus in the 88th minute. The Minehead fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Knutsford City were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
