With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rowan Cross prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the game, Daryl Mills was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Victoria United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jerks United the free kick. Junior Townson took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rowan Cross. Rowan Cross dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rowan Cross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Junior Townson in the 25th minute of play. Kristopher Gardiner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32ndth minute of the game Kristopher Gardiner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Victoria United's Rowan Cross was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rowan Cross stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristopher Gardiner's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 40 minutes into the match, Victoria United's goal looked a bit too open when Kristopher Gardiner came free, but Rowan Cross reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rowan Cross tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daryl Mills kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
