Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Richmond FC's Reuben Beckett started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Richmond FC's Jools Whittingham got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After having played for 5 minutes, Reuben Beckett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Richmond FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reuben Beckett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute, Reuben Beckett reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jack Rocastle. The goal made the score 2-0. Frank Sharpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Appleshaw's Jack Rocastle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reuben Beckett in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Morris in the 18th minute of play forced Richmond FC's goalkeeper Danny Byrom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danny Byrom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvin Broadhurst, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Joseph Rowe hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Reuben Beckett might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jack Rocastle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reuben Beckett ran back to his position shaking his head. If Calvin Broadhurst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calvin Broadhurst struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Danny Byrom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Appleshaw. After 31 played minutes Richmond FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Bowland. Danny Byrom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Morris in the 38th minute of the match. Calvin Broadhurst struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Danny Byrom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Appleshaw. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Calvin Broadhurst was the one to do the kick off. Lance Hedley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute Reuben Beckett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Rocastle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Luke Brown hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reuben Beckett in the 67th minute of play forced Appleshaw's goalkeeper Jack Rocastle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calvin Broadhurst's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danny Byrom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Richmond FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Rowe to maneuver through the defense. Jack Rocastle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reuben Beckett in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th match minute, Appleshaw was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huey Morris to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Lance Hedley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jack Rocastle was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Joseph Rowe kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Alex Morris's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Danny Byrom firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jack Rocastle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reuben Beckett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richmond FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Appleshaw for a fine match.
