An unexpectedly hard shot by Junior Townson in the 3rd minute of play forced Richmond FC's goalkeeper Danny Byrom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Richmond FC booed when Jerks United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ty Joynes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Lance Hedley kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Brigid Martyn. That made the score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. Reuben Beckett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brigid Martyn having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ty Joynes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Danny Byrom made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reuben Beckett in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brigid Martyn saved Jerks United from getting behind. A collision led to Jerks United getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Devon Sugden hit a great ball. Reuben Beckett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hayden Collins fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jerks United's protests and gave Hayden Collins a yellow card for diving instead. Brigid Martyn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reuben Beckett in the 79th minute of the match. Junior Townson in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Danny Byrom, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Brigid Martyn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reuben Beckett in the 85th minute of the match. Junior Townson struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Danny Byrom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jerks United. Jerks United's Devon Sugden got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Richmond FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Junior Townson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Howard Quantrill hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jerks United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Richmond FC.
