After 5 minutes, Rupert Coote made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Earle's Simeon Washington tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fraser Canning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rupert Coote sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Newton Aycliffe's Olly Tinker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rio Rockett in the 12th minute of play. After some careless play in the Earle defense, Rupert Coote kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simeon Washington. The Earle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simeon Washington should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sly Addison during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Newton Aycliffe getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Sly Addison hit a great ball. Newton Aycliffe's Fraser Canning got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Earle's Simeon Washington got control of the ball when Rupert Coote tried to sneak it across the goal line. Newton Aycliffe's Olly Tinker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alec Wray in the 30th minute of play. Earle's Simeon Washington proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Earle from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the match, Alec Wray had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olly Tinker. Newton Aycliffe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alec Wray was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Alec Wray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olly Tinker having to interfere. Alec Wray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alec Wray in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olly Tinker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Newton Aycliffe booed when Earle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nath Kidd didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Fraser Canning managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newton Aycliffe's supporters rose to their feet, but Fraser Canning was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simeon Washington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alec Wray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olly Tinker having to interfere. Newton Aycliffe's Olly Tinker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Newton Aycliffe from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fraser Canning in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simeon Washington saved Earle from getting behind. 75 minutes into the match, Earle's goal looked a bit too open when Rupert Coote came free, but Simeon Washington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Earle's Rio Rockett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olly Tinker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alec Wray blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olly Tinker having to make a save. Rio Rockett did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-2 to the left of a surprised Olly Tinker 87 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Bryan Legg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute of the match, Rio Rockett tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Olly Tinker saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Newton Aycliffe fans cheered their team off the field, for while Earle had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
