Spectators: 5730 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kristian Radcliffe made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute, Vince Downes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristian Radcliffe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laurence Case received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Doug Arrowsmith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kyle Crichton in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doug Arrowsmith prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Laurence Case had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doug Arrowsmith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Crichton, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Doug Arrowsmith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurence Case in the 24th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Laurence Case's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doug Arrowsmith was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Crispin Shaw made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Marty Colbert sent off a good shot on target. Laurence Case received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Doug Arrowsmith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Kyle Crichton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scotland s1 athletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kyle Crichton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Scotland s1 athletic fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Scotland s1 athletic's Laurence Case looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After recieving a nice pass, New Haw FC's Robbie Brimble tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Laurence Case fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doug Arrowsmith having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laurence Case made a kick off. Kyle Crichton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doug Arrowsmith having to interfere. Laurence Case sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 55 played minutes New Haw FC got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sparkes. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Laurence Case sped through New Haw FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Doug Arrowsmith. New Haw FC's Kristian Radcliffe got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kyle Crichton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Doug Arrowsmith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. New Haw FC's Doug Arrowsmith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurence Case in the 76th minute of play. Vince Downes's late challenge caught a New Haw FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vince Downes helped the player get up and apologised. If Laurence Case had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the game, Laurence Case lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Doug Arrowsmith. When Laurence Case came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Scotland s1 athletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurence Case couldn't finish the play. Scotland s1 athletic's Kyle Crichton got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, New Haw FC's Vance McDonald got a free kick in the 96th minute. Laurence Case sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Scotland s1 athletic left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than New Haw FC.
