Spectators: 7271 (Terracing: 5646, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 25) Kristian Radcliffe made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 8th minute, Dudley Divers's Frazer Dibb ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Doug Arrowsmith. Doug Arrowsmith yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Frazer Dibb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doug Arrowsmith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frazer Dibb in the 14th minute of play. If Frazer Dibb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in New Haw FC's zone, Miles Wendon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doug Arrowsmith came out of the goal and Miles Wendon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Dudley Divers's Stuart Dowrick got a free kick in the 24th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Marty Colbert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Haw FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marty Colbert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Vance McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stewart Tolley hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Radcliffe in the 35th minute of play forced Dudley Divers's goalkeeper Christian Litchfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frazer Dibb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. New Haw FC's Doug Arrowsmith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frazer Dibb in the 42nd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frazer Dibb to strike the kick off in the second half. Doug Arrowsmith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miles Wendon in the 54th minute of the match. Miles Wendon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Dudley Divers getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Paul Bloom hit a great ball. Dudley Divers's Christian Litchfield proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Dudley Divers from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind New Haw FC's goalkeeper Doug Arrowsmith, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Radcliffe in the 92nd minute of play forced Dudley Divers's goalkeeper Christian Litchfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marty Colbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 95 minutes into the match, Dudley Divers's Miles Wendon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doug Arrowsmith narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dudley Divers fans cheered their team off the field, for while New Haw FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
