Spectators: 6832 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 100) New Haw FC's Kristian Radcliffe started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Rodney Stone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dartford's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodney Stone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doug Arrowsmith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 6th minute Des Welsh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doug Arrowsmith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dartford's Rodney Stone got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Dartford's Des Welsh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doug Arrowsmith narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Dartford's zone, Marty Colbert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ash Kellaway came out of the goal and Marty Colbert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Sparkes charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Sparkes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, New Haw FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Sparkes to maneuver through the defense. Rick Garforth was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With his leg Doug Arrowsmith managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Dartford's Rodney Stone fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Darius Knight took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ash Kellaway. Dartford's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Calvin Fleming kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Ash Kellaway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marty Colbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Kristian Radcliffe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ash Kellaway was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th minute of the match Darius Knight sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ash Kellaway skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Dartford getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Carlton Owen hit a great ball. Dartford's Ash Kellaway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Radcliffe in the 41st minute of play. Marty Colbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Dartford players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. New Haw FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Des Welsh made a kick off. After 51 played minutes New Haw FC got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sparkes. Doug Arrowsmith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodney Stone, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Kristian Radcliffe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kristian Radcliffe in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ash Kellaway saved Dartford from getting behind. Carlton Owen got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Carlton Owen hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 69 played minutes Kristian Radcliffe rounded Dartford's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Kristian Radcliffe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ash Kellaway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Marty Colbert managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Haw FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marty Colbert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristian Radcliffe couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Dartford's Ash Kellaway got control of the ball when Marty Colbert tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, Rodney Stone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dartford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodney Stone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute Rodney Stone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doug Arrowsmith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Vance McDonald took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Ash Kellaway to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. New Haw FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
