Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Vic Legg started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Petersfield getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Todd Lee-Barrett hit a great ball. In the 8th minute, Chris Pearce sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Petersfield's Richard Shepherd didn't even have to move. Petersfield's Richard Shepherd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lance Kelly in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Kemsing's Lance Kelly sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Richard Shepherd narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Todd Lee-Barrett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Pell having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Den Halford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Shepherd was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Lance Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vic Legg kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Petersfield's Todd Lee-Barrett got a free kick in the 36th minute. Lance Kelly struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Richard Shepherd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kemsing. In the 44th minute, Lance Kelly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Richard Shepherd made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Den Halford sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Lance Kelly made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Kemsing booed when Petersfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vic Legg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Den Halford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Kemsing's Lance Kelly in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Petersfield's goalie prevented a goal. 62 minutes in the game, Vic Legg fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Carl Pell having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lance Kelly's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Shepherd was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Petersfield's Richard Shepherd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lance Kelly in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Vic Legg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Petersfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kemsing the free kick. After a rather tough play, Petersfield's Vic Legg got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Todd Lee-Barrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Petersfield's goalkeeper Richard Shepherd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Richard Shepherd stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lance Kelly's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Lance Kelly ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Shepherd was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Todd Lee-Barrett was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. Chris Pearce, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Richard Shepherd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Den Halford went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Den Halford's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Shepherd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
