Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vic Legg started the match with the kick off. Syd Corbridge hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Petersfield's zone, Larry Bancroft stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Shepherd came out of the goal and Larry Bancroft tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Todd Lee-Barrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kelvin Bannister struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Richard Shepherd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RockIT. After having played for 29 minutes, Larry Bancroft managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RockIT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Larry Bancroft was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kelvin Bannister struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Richard Shepherd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RockIT. Richard Shepherd made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kelvin Bannister in the 36th minute. Vic Legg kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Larry Bancroft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Shepherd having to interfere. Kelvin Bannister recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Sol Castleton successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kelvin Bannister struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Richard Shepherd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RockIT. Vic Legg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sol Castleton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Phil Joynes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Sol Castleton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. RockIT's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
