Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dennis Poate got the match started through his kick off. When Simon Whiteley came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Kentish Town fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Whiteley couldn't finish the play. Rex Lightfoot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Louie Ottaway's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Simon Whiteley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Jeff Warden made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Kentish Town's Jeff Warden threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lewis Sheridan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Halton Holegate's Dennis Poate got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Louie Ottaway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the game, Halton Holegate's Dennis Poate nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rex Lightfoot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Dennis Poate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Lightfoot having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lewis Sheridan to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Poate in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rex Lightfoot saved Kentish Town from getting behind. A collision led to Halton Holegate getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Frazer Soussan hit a great ball. In the 54th minute of the match Johnny Mimms sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeff Warden skillfully saved the ball. Rex Lightfoot made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Louie Ottaway sent off a good shot on target. Dennis Poate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Lightfoot having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Kentish Town's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dennis Poate fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 72nd match minute, Kentish Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathanial Heywood to maneuver through the defense. Jeff Warden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lewis Sheridan, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Lewis Sheridan ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Halton Holegate's Al Halford got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After a rather tough play, Kentish Town's Tristan Griggs got a free kick in the 95th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Halton Holegate's Frazer Soussan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Halton Holegate were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Kentish Town to leave the ground with a draw.
