Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frank Peletier started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Tristan Lane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celery's supporters rose to their feet, but Tristan Lane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxime Durand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute of the match, Tristan Lane tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Maxime Durand saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Frank Peletier took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ellison Emmenegger. Ellison Emmenegger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ed Delamore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tristan Lane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Frank Peletier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ellison Emmenegger was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. The supporters of Celery booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camille Baume didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ed Delamore succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. In the 22nd minute Tristan Lane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ed Delamore who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Maxime Durand when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tristan Lane in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxime Durand saved France from getting behind. Maxime Durand was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tristan Lane showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 31 minute of play. Frank Peletier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in France's zone, Tristan Lane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxime Durand came out of the goal and Tristan Lane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Peletier in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ellison Emmenegger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tristan Lane struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Maxime Durand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celery. Tristan Lane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remy Dupuy hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ed Delamore was the one to do the kick off. Eusebio Barroso charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusebio Barroso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. David Barbier's late challenge caught a Celery's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Barbier helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Barbier to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Henry Robiquet put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Celery a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ed Delamore, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of France's Maxime Durand. 4-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Peletier got free with Ellison Emmenegger in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 77 minutes into the match, Celery's goalkeeper Ellison Emmenegger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Camille Baume. In the 78th minute, Camille Baume got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5-1 became the score in the 81st minute when Tristan Lane elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 91stth minute of the game Tristan Lane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Maxime Durand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 92 minutes, Alexis Bruneau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the France and the Celery players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alexis Bruneau hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ed Delamore in the 95th minute of the match. France's Maxime Durand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ed Delamore in the 97th minute of play. The supporters of Celery booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remy Dupuy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 99 minutes, Ivan Hopgood mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celery and the France players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 99th match minute, Celery was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Hopgood to maneuver through the defense.
