Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gary Morris got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Pershore AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rick Tinker came free, but Mike Speed reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pershore AFC's Chesney Bond got a free kick in the 9th minute. Mike Speed was a little too slow when Dean Tomlin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. Lance Goodall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes in the game, Rick Tinker fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mike Speed having to interfere. In the 19th minute Gary Morris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rupert Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chesney Bond struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Rupert Barrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pershore AFC. In the 28th minute, Chip Glanvill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lance Goodall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Mike Speed made a huge save. 32 minutes into the game, one of Pershore AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Mike Speed, was totally fooled by Blackburn City's Dean Tomlin, who 33 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Mike Speed made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Lance Goodall sent off a good shot on target. Rick Tinker took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mike Speed. Mike Speed dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. If Rick Tinker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chesney Bond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rupert Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blackburn City's Rupert Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gary Morris in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Pershore AFC's Mike Speed played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rick Tinker in the 52nd minute of play. Mike Speed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lance Goodall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gary Morris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Rupert Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Blackburn City's Rick Tinker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mike Speed narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pershore AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Rick Tinker took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mike Speed. Mike Speed dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Rupert Barrett was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Gary Morris capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gary Morris really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. Mike Speed showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lance Goodall, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Rick Tinker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mike Speed read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Lance Goodall ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mike Speed was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Rick Tinker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lance Goodall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Mike Speed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gary Morris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Rupert Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Blackburn City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pershore AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
