Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gareth Waltham made the kick off and thus started the match. Roy Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Lydiate in the 4th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Barmby on the Marsh defense, CJ Dry kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roy Harris. The Barmby on the Marsh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roy Harris should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Southall's zone, Gareth Waltham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vance Hindmarsh came out of the goal and Gareth Waltham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 12 minutes, Craig Tindale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barmby on the Marsh and the Southall players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Southall booed when Barmby on the Marsh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Craig Tindale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damion Stockdale who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Roy Harris when he managed to save the team from getting behind. CJ Dry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Roy Harris made a huge save. After some careless play in the Barmby on the Marsh defense, CJ Dry kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roy Harris. The Barmby on the Marsh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roy Harris should have stopped the shot. Vance Hindmarsh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hayden Little, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barmby on the Marsh's Roy Harris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Barmby on the Marsh from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when CJ Dry got free with Roy Harris in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CJ Dry came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roy Harris could save by the left post. 35 minutes into the match, Barmby on the Marsh's goalkeeper Roy Harris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by CJ Dry. In the 35th match minute, Southall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Brooks to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, CJ Dry ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roy Harris was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Al Barber hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 46 played minutes Southall got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Brooks. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when CJ Dry made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers CJ Dry in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roy Harris saved Barmby on the Marsh from getting behind. Al Barber hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. CJ Dry took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roy Harris. Roy Harris dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Roy Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from CJ Dry in the 70th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Barmby on the Marsh got a freekick which was hit by Philip McGovern. 74 minutes into the match, Barmby on the Marsh's Hayden Little sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vance Hindmarsh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 77 minutes into the game, Southall's Damion Stockdale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roy Harris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Barmby on the Marsh's Roy Harris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by CJ Dry in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute Southall were awarded a corner. Wesley Lydiate went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Southall's Garry Martin to a score. 6-1 in the 82nd minute. Wesley Lydiate got a throw-in 87 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Garry Martin. Roy Harris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of CJ Dry's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barmby on the Marsh players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Southall.
