The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gary Morris to strike the kick off in the second half. When Chesney Bond, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 64 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Rio Short was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 70 minutes into the game, Ronny Maloney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pershore AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hailsham the free kick. The Pershore AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Hailsham from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
