Spectators: 7516 (Terracing: 5638, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gary Morris kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pershore AFC's zone, CJ Dry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mike Speed came out of the goal and CJ Dry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wesley Lydiate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th match minute, Pershore AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chip Glanvill to maneuver through the defense. Mike Speed stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of CJ Dry's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Damion Stockdale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Speed having to interfere. Mike Speed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from CJ Dry in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling CJ Dry in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mike Speed prevented the ball from getting in the gole. During the 23rd minute of the match Chip Glanvill completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Chip Glanvill a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Southall booed when Pershore AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chip Glanvill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mike Speed showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from CJ Dry, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Gary Morris in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vance Hindmarsh, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 40 minutes into the match, Pershore AFC's goal looked a bit too open when CJ Dry came free, but Mike Speed reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CJ Dry scored 0-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mike Speed, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mike Speed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from CJ Dry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. CJ Dry was the one to do the kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Johnny Brooks came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Southall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnny Brooks couldn't finish the play. CJ Dry's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mike Speed read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Sidney Huxtable hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as CJ Dry kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mike Speed. That made the score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. Mike Speed made an important save on a dangerous shot by CJ Dry in the 63rd minute. 0-3 became the score in the 65th minute when CJ Dry elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Chesney Bond fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pershore AFC's protests and gave Chesney Bond a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Pershore AFC's Chesney Bond got a free kick in the 71st minute. After having played for 75 minutes, Wesley Lydiate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wesley Lydiate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wesley Lydiate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Mike Speed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Garry Martin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Southall's Wesley Lydiate sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mike Speed narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pershore AFC's zone, Wesley Lydiate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mike Speed came out of the goal and Wesley Lydiate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Duncan Whittingham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duncan Whittingham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Johnny Brooks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Southall booed when Pershore AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Sinclair didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Southall left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pershore AFC.
