Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) CJ Dry started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cliff Langley in the 4th minute of play forced Southall's goalkeeper Vance Hindmarsh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Impey hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Staveley AFC's zone, CJ Dry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerome Barber came out of the goal and CJ Dry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wesley Lydiate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerome Barber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from CJ Dry in the 13th minute of play. Jerome Barber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Lydiate in the 14th minute of play. Noel Nicoll kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Southall's Vance Hindmarsh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cliff Langley in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by CJ Dry in the 21st minute of play forced Staveley AFC's goalkeeper Jerome Barber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Staveley AFC's goal looked a bit too open when CJ Dry came free, but Jerome Barber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Southall's Vance Hindmarsh got control of the ball when Tom Alsop tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jim Impey during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. CJ Dry struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jerome Barber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Southall. Tod Harban's late challenge caught a Southall's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tod Harban helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Southall booed when Staveley AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tod Harban didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by CJ Dry in the 28th minute of play forced Staveley AFC's goalkeeper Jerome Barber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vance Hindmarsh came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Staveley AFC's Jim Impey. But to his dismay, Jim Impey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 34 played minutes Staveley AFC got a freekick which was hit by Danny Ryder. 40 minutes into the match, Southall's goal looked a bit too open when Cliff Langley came free, but Vance Hindmarsh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vance Hindmarsh didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 44th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. In the 47th match minute, Staveley AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Wise to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute of the match Wesley Lydiate sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jerome Barber skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cliff Langley to make the kick off. When Tom Alsop fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Staveley AFC's protests and gave Tom Alsop a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd match minute, Staveley AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Alsop to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Staveley AFC's zone, CJ Dry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerome Barber came out of the goal and CJ Dry tried to chip the ball over his head. Jerome Barber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Lydiate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Staveley AFC booed when Southall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Nicoll didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Duncan Whittingham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wesley Lydiate got free with Jerome Barber in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tom Alsop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Southall's CJ Dry got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CJ Dry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CJ Dry blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerome Barber having to make a save. CJ Dry who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Jerome Barber when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Staveley AFC had won after a very even match.
