In the 26th minute, John Short left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pershore AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The throw-in from Ronny Maloney in the 30th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Barmby on the Marsh's Craig Tindale. If Craig Tindale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Gareth Waltham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mike Speed was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 37th match minute, Barmby on the Marsh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip McGovern to maneuver through the defense. Pershore AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barmby on the Marsh the free kick. The supporters of Barmby on the Marsh booed when Pershore AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chip Glanvill didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Craig Tindale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mike Speed was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. In the 47th minute Philip McGovern suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. During the 47th minute of the match Chip Glanvill completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Chip Glanvill a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Barmby on the Marsh booed when Pershore AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chip Glanvill didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Gareth Waltham made the kick off in the second half. Craig Tindale hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Craig Tindale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Craig Tindale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Craig Tindale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gareth Waltham received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mike Speed came out and tried to block the shot, but Gareth Waltham slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 62nd minute. Mike Speed was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Gareth Waltham capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gareth Waltham really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Chesney Bond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Harris having to interfere. A collision led to Barmby on the Marsh getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gareth Waltham hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Barmby on the Marsh's goal looked a bit too open when Chesney Bond came free, but Roy Harris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Craig Tindale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Craig Tindale struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Mike Speed didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barmby on the Marsh.
