Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rick Tinker got the match started through his kick off. Jerome Barber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lance Goodall in the 3rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tom Alsop got free with Rupert Barrett in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12thth minute of the game Rick Tinker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Staveley AFC's Jerome Barber was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Kyle Croxford fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blackburn City's protests and gave Kyle Croxford a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Blackburn City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Croxford to maneuver through the defense. Rupert Barrett was a little too slow when Cliff Langley got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 18th minute Rick Tinker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Barber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Staveley AFC's Jerome Barber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rick Tinker in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Tom Alsop notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Blackburn City's Rupert Barrett. Rupert Barrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jim Impey hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Lance Goodall scored 4-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jerome Barber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rick Tinker in the 58th minute of play forced Staveley AFC's goalkeeper Jerome Barber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Garth Platt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dean Tomlin didn't quite understand what happened when in the 62 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After a rather tough play, Staveley AFC's Tod Harban got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Rufus Gascoigne blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerome Barber having to make a save. Cliff Langley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Barrett having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Cliff Langley put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rupert Barrett. Tom Alsop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Barrett having to interfere. Rupert Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Alsop, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Rupert Barrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tom Alsop went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Jerome Barber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rick Tinker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kyle Croxford hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the game, Cliff Langley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Staveley AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blackburn City the free kick. A collision led to Staveley AFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Cliff Langley hit a great ball. If Lance Goodall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Cliff Langley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rupert Barrett was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Staveley AFC had won after a very even match.
