Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dorchester's Liam Monk started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Dorchester's Will Bowland threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Liam Monk, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Liam Monk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philip Heath received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Joel Hornsby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Will Bowland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Liam Monk in the 20th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Philip Heath in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Hornsby prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute, Liam Monk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Liam Monk struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Will Bowland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dorchester. After 31 played minutes Barnsley got a freekick which was hit by Vern Tisdale. With a little luck, Barnsley's Will Bowland got control of the ball when Jasper Riad tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Philip Heath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liam Monk was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jasper Riad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Will Bowland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dom Jones in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Hornsby saved Dorchester from getting behind. 58 minutes into the match, Barnsley's Dom Jones sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Hornsby narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Will Bowland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Liam Monk's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Will Bowland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasper Riad in the 64th minute of the match. If Liam Monk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Barnsley's Dom Jones in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dorchester's goalie prevented a goal. Dorchester's Liam Monk got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorchester were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Barnsley for a fine match.
