An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam Monk in the 24th minute of play forced Firsaga's goalkeeper Sebastien Hume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Marty Johnstone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Firsaga's supporters rose to their feet, but Marty Johnstone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Hornsby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Marty Johnstone got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 42nd minute, Marty Johnstone reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joel Hornsby. The goal made the score 1-0. Liam Monk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastien Hume having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marty Johnstone was the one to do the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liam Monk couldn't finish the play. In the last second Sebastien Hume throw himself and got hold of the ball when Liam Monk in the 97thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dorchester players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Firsaga.
