Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dorchester's Liam Monk started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Firsaga's Sebastien Hume played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liam Monk in the 3rd minute of play. In the 10thth minute of the game Andrew Gamble who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dorchester's Joel Hornsby was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Firsaga got a corner. Dorchester's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcus Rider ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Marcus Rider almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dorchester's Joel Hornsby did a great save. If Marty Johnstone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute of the match Pat Cooke shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastien Hume showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam Monk in the 24th minute of play forced Firsaga's goalkeeper Sebastien Hume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Marty Johnstone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Firsaga's supporters rose to their feet, but Marty Johnstone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Hornsby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Liam Monk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastien Hume having to make a save. CJ Cooke kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Marty Johnstone got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 42nd minute, Marty Johnstone reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joel Hornsby. The goal made the score 1-0. Liam Monk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastien Hume having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marty Johnstone was the one to do the kick off. Liam Monk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Sebastien Hume tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donald Trotter charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donald Trotter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Dorchester booed when Firsaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donald Trotter didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jasper Riad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dorchester's supporters rose to their feet, but Jasper Riad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 72 minutes, Chesney Ely mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dorchester and the Firsaga players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Dorchester's Chesney Ely got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Marty Johnstone spun around in front of the goal 74 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Dorchester's goal. When Liam Monk came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Dorchester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liam Monk couldn't finish the play. In the last second Sebastien Hume throw himself and got hold of the ball when Liam Monk in the 97thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dorchester players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Firsaga.
