Stinging Nettles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francis Deeney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Francis Deeney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stinging Nettles's supporters rose to their feet, but Francis Deeney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francis Welsh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. F.C.Munchen's Francis Welsh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francis Deeney in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, Stinging Nettles's Francis Deeney nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francis Welsh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. There was no doubt that Stinging Nettles were the better team. Stinging Nettles's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
