The supporters of Wallsend AFC booed when azza united was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josh Senior didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kirk Hargreaves in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vance Wicks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andre Gayle succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 33rd playminute. Vance Wicks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kirk Hargreaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Andre Gayle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vance Wicks having to make a save. Kirk Hargreaves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Vance Wicks when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Steve Fenton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vance Wicks was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Leigh Tabb's late challenge caught a Wallsend AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leigh Tabb helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, azza united's Leigh Tabb got a free kick in the 45th minute. Vance Wicks didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Wallsend AFC's Andre Gayle shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-1 in the ordered_time% minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kirk Hargreaves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Lenny Harper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. azza united's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lenny Harper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 59 minutes, Kirk Hargreaves made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. azza united's Vance Wicks tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kirk Hargreaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Hutchinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dane Gibbons having to interfere. If Kirk Hargreaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leigh Tabb hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Andre Gayle scored 6-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vance Wicks, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Kirk Hargreaves put it in 7-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vance Wicks. Andre Gayle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vance Wicks having to interfere. There was no doubt that Wallsend AFC were the better team. Wallsend AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
