In the 6th minute, North Solihull FC's Sidney Ginn ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dane Aldridge. Dane Aldridge yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Vic Bush hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Frank Marchant's late challenge caught a North Solihull FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Marchant helped the player get up and apologised. Frank Marchant kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes North Solihull FC got a freekick which was hit by Glen Tomlin. Adrian Hehir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Sacha Chipperfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl Dunne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sidney Ginn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dane Aldridge. That made the score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. When Vic Bush fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored North Solihull FC's protests and gave Vic Bush a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Vic Bush hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl Dunne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl Dunne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Karl Dunne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sacha Chipperfield having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Glen Tomlin managed to get in a good position for a shot. North Solihull FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Glen Tomlin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dane Aldridge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vic Bush was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 60 played minutes North Solihull FC got a freekick which was hit by Vic Bush. Dane Aldridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glen Tomlin in the 65th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes Liverpool got a freekick which was hit by Marty Shepherd. If Glen Tomlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dane Aldridge didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Glen Tomlin went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Lee Deacon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Dane Aldridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adrian Hehir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the game, North Solihull FC's Glen Tomlin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dane Aldridge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Dane Aldridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glen Tomlin in the 84th minute of play. If Glen Tomlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Johnathan Marchant notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Liverpool's Dane Aldridge. Dane Aldridge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that North Solihull FC were the better team. North Solihull FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
