Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfie Kennedy started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfie Kennedy in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guy Gerrard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 3rd match minute, Radcliffe-on-Trent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Ackland to maneuver through the defense. Carl Croxford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piers Pell in the 5th minute of play. Carl Croxford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piers Pell, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The supporters of Radcliffe-on-Trent booed when Tufnell Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liam Nash didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Tufnell Park defense, Piers Pell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carl Croxford. The Tufnell Park fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carl Croxford should have stopped the shot. Jo Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Croxford having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Jo Palmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alfie Kennedy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sly Lawton charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sly Lawton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Radcliffe-on-Trent's Sly Lawton got a free kick in the 39th minute. Guy Gerrard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfie Kennedy in the 40th minute of play. Alfie Kennedy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Sly Lawton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carl Croxford. Tufnell Park's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sly Lawton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Guy Gerrard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conal Rigg in the 51st minute of play. If Conal Rigg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfie Kennedy in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guy Gerrard saved Radcliffe-on-Trent from getting behind. 59 minutes into the game, one of Radcliffe-on-Trent:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Tufnell Park a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gary Gerrard, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Radcliffe-on-Trent's Guy Gerrard. 1-2. If Alfie Kennedy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Conal Rigg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Alfie Kennedy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tufnell Park fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfie Kennedy in the 78th minute of play forced Radcliffe-on-Trent's goalkeeper Guy Gerrard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carl Croxford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piers Pell in the 82nd minute of the match. Conal Rigg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piers Pell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Carl Croxford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Alfie Kennedy made a precise shot to the right of Guy Gerrard. Radcliffe-on-Trent's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After a rather tough play, Tufnell Park's Larry Gallacher got a free kick in the 94th minute. Tufnell Park's Carl Croxford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piers Pell in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tufnell Park fans cheered their team off the field, for while Radcliffe-on-Trent had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
