Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Guy Gerrard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Hehir in the 2nd minute of the match. Guy Gerrard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dom England in the 10th minute. Dane Aldridge came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Radcliffe-on-Trent's Piers Pell. But to his dismay, Piers Pell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Adrian Hehir could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Guy Gerrard made a huge save. Karl Dunne struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Guy Gerrard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool. If Adrian Hehir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liverpool's Karl Dunne got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guy Gerrard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Dunne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Radcliffe-on-Trent getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Sly Lawton hit a great ball. In the 36th minute Karl Dunne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guy Gerrard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piers Pell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dane Aldridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piers Pell in the 45th minute of play. Karl Dunne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Piers Pell to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Dom England hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrian Ackland kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jo Palmer got free with Dane Aldridge in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Piers Pell in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dane Aldridge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Piers Pell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 64 played minutes Radcliffe-on-Trent got a freekick which was hit by Micheal Brown. In the 65th minute Adrian Hehir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guy Gerrard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Radcliffe-on-Trent's Sly Lawton got a free kick in the 66th minute. Dom England charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dom England the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 74 minutes into the match, Jo Palmer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dane Aldridge. Liverpool's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jo Palmer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Piers Pell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dane Aldridge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Piers Pell's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Piers Pell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Radcliffe-on-Trent's supporters rose to their feet, but Piers Pell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dane Aldridge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 96 minutes into the game, Frank Marchant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liverpool's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Radcliffe-on-Trent the free kick. In the 96th minute, Frank Marchant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
