Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sacha Chipperfield didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Glen Cornish went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, North Solihull FC's Lee Deacon got a free kick in the 10th minute. Sam West, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Ginn in the 26th minute of play forced Mansfield Town's goalkeeper Tommy Beale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Kirk Rhodes put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sacha Chipperfield. The supporters of Mansfield Town booed when North Solihull FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glen Tomlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vic Bush during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vic Bush hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Tommy Beale was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Vic Bush capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vic Bush really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. If Glen Cornish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidney Ginn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Beale having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kirk Rhodes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Glen Cornish managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mansfield Town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glen Cornish was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute, Sidney Ginn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The North Solihull FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 61 minutes into the match, Mansfield Town's goal looked a bit too open when Glen Tomlin came free, but Tommy Beale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kirk Rhodes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glen Tomlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Glen Tomlin in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Beale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mansfield Town's goalkeeper Tommy Beale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sidney Ginn scored 3-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Beale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When North Solihull FC's Glen Tomlin in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The tension between the Mansfield Town and the North Solihull FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 85 played minutes Mansfield Town got a freekick which was hit by Barney Burns. North Solihull FC's Sacha Chipperfield proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save North Solihull FC from getting a goal against them. Garry Notley hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The North Solihull FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mansfield Town had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
