Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Shobdon's Brendon Hutchinson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sean Ball took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Pool, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Shobdon's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Pool came free, but Sean Ball reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Blythe in the 11th minute of play forced Shobdon's goalkeeper Sean Ball to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sean Ball made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vince Clarke in the 13th minute of play. Sean Ball took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominic Blythe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Dave Pool shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Ball saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute Carl Bullard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Ball saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes, Dave Pool made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Shobdon's Sean Ball tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute, Vince Clarke made a precise shot to the right of Sean Ball. Shobdon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 33 minutes into the match, Shobdon's goal looked a bit too open when Dominic Blythe came free, but Sean Ball reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sean Ball came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Tipton United's Dave Pool. But to his dismay, Dave Pool quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 37 minutes into the match, Shobdon's goal looked a bit too open when Dominic Blythe came free, but Sean Ball reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Tipton United were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to Shobdon getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Kristopher Harban hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Shobdon's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Pool came free, but Sean Ball reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Len Humphreys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendon Hutchinson in the 57th minute of the match. If Brendon Hutchinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jez Sullivan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Austin Naylor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sean Ball, 0-5. 68 minutes into the match, Vince Clarke notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Shobdon's Sean Ball. Sean Ball was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 74 minutes into the match, Shobdon's goalkeeper Sean Ball had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vince Clarke. In the 76th minute, Dave Pool got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dominic Blythe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Sean Ball made a huge save. Sean Ball was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dave Pool showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 79 minute of play. Sean Ball showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Pool in the 83rd minute of the match. Sean Ball showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Pool, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After some careless play in the Shobdon defense, Dominic Blythe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sean Ball. The Shobdon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sean Ball should have stopped the shot. Brett Browne struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Sean Ball didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tipton United. A hard shot 96 in the game by Brett Browne from a close distance when the talented Sean Ball managed to make a qualified save. Shobdon's players were relieved.
