Sean Sutton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Archie Doughty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sean Sutton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Culverhouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Archie Doughty cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sean Sutton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Chingford City's Stuart Culverhouse got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Archie Doughty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Glyn Rothwell made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Peter Kendall sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute, Peter Kendall ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glyn Rothwell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Kenilworth booed when Chingford City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamie Osmond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Archie Doughty took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sean Sutton. Sean Sutton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archie Doughty in the 35th minute of play forced Kenilworth's goalkeeper Sean Sutton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes, Eric Hicks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kenilworth and the Chingford City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kenilworth's Eric Hicks got a free kick in the 36th minute. Sean Sutton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Archie Doughty, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Archie Doughty had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sean Sutton. Kenilworth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Archie Doughty was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Archie Doughty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chingford City's supporters rose to their feet, but Archie Doughty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean Sutton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Kenilworth players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chingford City were winning 1-4.

In the 54th minute Connor Munday shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glyn Rothwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Archie Doughty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sean Sutton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gordon Bye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Archie Doughty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lewis Butters fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chingford City's protests and gave Lewis Butters a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chingford City booed when Kenilworth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giles Stonehouse didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 77 minutes Kenilworth's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alex Bradley who took care of the corner kick. Alex Bradley made a great header on Chingford City's corner, it was just that Kenilworth's Sean Sutton managed to reach the ball for a save. Jamie Osmond hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. If Connor Munday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Richard Rundell in the 85th minute really tested Sean Sutton's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With an all-out effort, Chingford City's Sean Sutton threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stuart Culverhouse, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Chingford City's Stuart Culverhouse got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Lewis Butters was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. If Archie Doughty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gordon Bye recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chingford City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
