In the 5th minute Chaz Green shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Verne Parkinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Chaz Green's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Verne Parkinson was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. When Basil Cutts fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STORM CITY's protests and gave Basil Cutts a yellow card for diving instead. Basil Cutts hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After 8 minutes, Phil Scholes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the STORM CITY and the Boozeon First players grew even worse after the yellow card. 12 minutes into the game, Boozeon First's Shane Stayton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mike Nightingale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Boozeon First's Jeremy Nightingale in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Boozeon First's Shane Stayton in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Shane Stayton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Mike Nightingale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chaz Green hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, STORM CITY's goal looked a bit too open when Shane Stayton came free, but Mike Nightingale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Abraham Blackwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shane Stayton took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mike Nightingale. Mike Nightingale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Verne Parkinson was a little too slow when Austin Chandler got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shane Stayton was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Boozeon First was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giles Bilham to maneuver through the defense. After 53 played minutes, STORM CITY's Bobby Deacon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Verne Parkinson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in STORM CITY reached it. 58 minutes into the match, Boozeon First's goal looked a bit too open when Chaz Green came free, but Verne Parkinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Austin Chandler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Verne Parkinson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. If Jeremy Nightingale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. STORM CITY's Chaz Green got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Austin Chandler in the 67th minute of play forced Boozeon First's goalkeeper Verne Parkinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shane Stayton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Nightingale having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Mickey Barfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremy Nightingale got free with Mike Nightingale in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With 85 minutes on the clock, Mickey Barfield commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for STORM CITY! When the match had been going on for 86 minutes, Boozeon First's Jeremy Nightingale got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Mike Nightingale. 92 minutes into the match, STORM CITY's goalkeeper Mike Nightingale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremy Nightingale. Mike Nightingale made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Jeremy Nightingale sent off a good shot on target. Mike Nightingale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shane Stayton in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Boozeon First left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than STORM CITY.
