Spectators: 7616 (Terracing: 5741, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eddie Hold took the kick off in the first half of the match. Shane Stayton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Albert Cole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sefton's zone, Abraham Blackwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Cole came out of the goal and Abraham Blackwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shane Stayton in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Cole prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8thth minute of the game Shane Stayton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sefton's Albert Cole was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathon Thompson struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Verne Parkinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sefton. A hard shot 20 in the game by Jeremy Nightingale from a close distance when the talented Albert Cole managed to make a qualified save. Sefton's players were relieved. 24 minutes into the match, Sefton's goal looked a bit too open when Shane Stayton came free, but Albert Cole reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Boozeon First's Jeremy Nightingale in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sefton's goalie prevented a goal. Albert Cole took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shane Stayton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abraham Blackwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Boozeon First's Jeremy Nightingale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albert Cole made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 39th minute, Shane Stayton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Albert Cole. The goal made the score 2-0. 45 minutes into the match, Sefton's goalkeeper Albert Cole had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremy Nightingale. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Sefton:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Boozeon First:s goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Shane Stayton made the kick off in the second half. Albert Cole made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremy Nightingale in the 56th minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, Boozeon First's Shane Stayton made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albert Cole was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jeremy Nightingale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Shane Stayton put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Albert Cole. Albert Cole took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Ainge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Shane Stayton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeremy Nightingale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 78 minutes of play, Boozeon First's Jeremy Nightingale made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albert Cole was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Shane Stayton put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Albert Cole. The supporters of Sefton booed when Boozeon First was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Stayton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Shane Stayton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albert Cole. Sefton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shane Stayton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Drew Buchanan during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Boozeon First getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Drew Buchanan hit a great ball. 99 minutes into the match, Sefton's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremy Nightingale came free, but Albert Cole reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boozeon First walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
