Louie Carroll struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Alec Marston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for STORM CITY. After a defensive mix-up in Bromborough's zone, Louie Carroll stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alec Marston came out of the goal and Louie Carroll tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Austin Chandler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louie Carroll took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alec Marston. Alec Marston dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Louie Carroll took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alec Marston. Mike Nightingale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alastair Cooper, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Eric Kay kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute of the match Mickey Barfield sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alec Marston skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Bromborough defense, Austin Chandler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alec Marston. The Bromborough fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alec Marston should have stopped the shot. If Austin Chandler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronan Kelly kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Austin Chandler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alec Marston having to interfere. In the 37thth minute of the game Austin Chandler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bromborough's Alec Marston was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alastair Cooper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chaz Green received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Alec Marston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Austin Chandler in the 43rd minute of play forced Bromborough's goalkeeper Alec Marston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Austin Chandler made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Bromborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfie Barat to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, STORM CITY's Bobby Deacon tried to score from far away in the 52nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Austin Chandler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Louie Carroll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alec Marston having to interfere. Louie Carroll could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Alec Marston made a huge save. Samuel Banks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for STORM CITY! In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Bromborough. Jermaine Perkins stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mike Nightingale. 1-3. Austin Chandler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Louie Carroll got free with Alec Marston in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Louie Carroll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alec Marston having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Austin Chandler rounded Bromborough's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. Phil Scholes charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phil Scholes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th match minute, STORM CITY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phil Scholes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Bromborough booed when STORM CITY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basil Cutts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alec Marston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Austin Chandler, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. If Alastair Cooper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 98 played minutes STORM CITY got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Holden. Mike Nightingale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Banks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
