In the 25thth minute of the game Graham Little who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buzau's Gerry Howarth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Buzau's Rowan Linkletter in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dolton City's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Dolton City getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Alfred Guest hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Chip Appleton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirk McCormick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Perry Burgess kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Rex Stevens hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Chip Appleton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Kirk McCormick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Graham Little was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Drew Payne notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Dolton City's Kirk McCormick. Kirk McCormick was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 57 played minutes Dolton City got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Clare. Chip Appleton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirk McCormick having to interfere. If Graham Little had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rowan Linkletter in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kirk McCormick, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 69th minute, Rowan Linkletter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jamie Gibbs charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jamie Gibbs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jamie Gibbs kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Sebastian Musgrove, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Chip Appleton had several of the Dolton City's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 79 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Kirk McCormick as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Clare in the 86th minute of play forced Buzau's goalkeeper Gerry Howarth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kirk McCormick made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Rowan Linkletter sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, Jamie Gibbs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute Chip Appleton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirk McCormick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Buzau's Gerry Howarth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Clare in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Dolton City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Chip Appleton fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Buzau played a much better game than Dolton City and deserved their victory. The Dolton City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
