Spectators: 5750 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alastair Cooper started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes of play, Boozeon First's Jeremy Nightingale made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alec Marston was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 8 played minutes Boozeon First got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Ainge. In the 13th match minute, Bromborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Syd Unsworth to maneuver through the defense. Ronan Kelly kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Boozeon First's Jeremy Nightingale managed to work through Bromborough's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jeremy Nightingale dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 21st minute Jeremy Nightingale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alec Marston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronan Kelly hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Verne Parkinson made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Samuel Banks sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute, Frank Hopker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute of the match Drew Buchanan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alec Marston showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 34th minute Jeremy Nightingale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alec Marston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alec Marston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremy Nightingale, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The audience was convinced that Jeremy Nightingale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alec Marston was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Alec Marston didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremy Nightingale went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shane Stayton was the one to do the kick off. Ronan Kelly scored 1-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Verne Parkinson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeremy Nightingale scored 1-4 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alec Marston, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 64th match minute, Boozeon First was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kirk Mills to maneuver through the defense. Alastair Cooper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verne Parkinson having to interfere. Alec Marston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shane Stayton in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Syd Unsworth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bromborough fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Alfie Barat kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bromborough's zone, Shane Stayton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alec Marston came out of the goal and Shane Stayton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alec Marston stood somewhat misplaced when Shane Stayton came free in front of goal and shot 2-5 to the left of him in the 76 minute. Syd Unsworth's late challenge caught a Boozeon First's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Syd Unsworth helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 played minutes Bromborough got a freekick which was hit by Syd Unsworth. In the 84th minute, Jeremy Nightingale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alec Marston was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-6.
