The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kirk Mills during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reg Jepson in the 6th minute of play forced Boozeon First's goalkeeper Verne Parkinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Verne Parkinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Howard Jump in the 12th minute of the match. Will Blakeley kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Gerry Bowland was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Abraham Blackwell capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abraham Blackwell really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The attack was good, but when Shane Stayton in the 30th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simon Davenport during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Boozeon First booed when The Myrmidons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Davenport didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Stayton in the 45th minute of play forced The Myrmidons's goalkeeper Gerry Bowland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Shane Stayton made a kick off. Jeremy Nightingale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerry Bowland having to interfere. Gerry Bowland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremy Nightingale in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerry Bowland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute, Will Blakeley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerry Bowland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremy Nightingale, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Gerry Bowland was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gerry Bowland came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Boozeon First's Shane Stayton. But to his dismay, Shane Stayton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Stayton in the 97th minute of play forced The Myrmidons's goalkeeper Gerry Bowland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boozeon First walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
