Daventry AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tyler Whittaker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tyler Whittaker got free with Lloyd Wells in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lloyd Wells made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tyler Whittaker in the 11th minute. Chris Moxey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Lloyd Wells tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Tyler Whittaker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvester Byrom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pete Haines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26thth minute of the game Pete Haines who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bedlington's Silvester Byrom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bedlington's Tyler Whittaker got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lloyd Wells made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Hughes in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Tyler Whittaker notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Daventry AFC's Lloyd Wells. Lloyd Wells was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lloyd Wells took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Hughes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tyler Whittaker who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Lloyd Wells when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tyler Whittaker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Bob Hughes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bob Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lloyd Wells having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Tyler Whittaker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thomas Sharples to strike the kick off in the second half. Gez Booth hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Tyler Whittaker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Tyler Whittaker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bedlington's supporters rose to their feet, but Tyler Whittaker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lloyd Wells breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tyler Whittaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Bedlington's Silvester Byrom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Sharples in the 72nd minute of play. Pete Haines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Silvester Byrom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bob Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lloyd Wells having to interfere. Silvester Byrom didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 82nd minute, which inside left pole to 4-1. Bob Hughes struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Lloyd Wells didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bedlington. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Daventry AFC's goalkeeper Lloyd Wells, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Daventry AFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Gez Booth hit a great ball. Bedlington's Malcolm Hayes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Daventry AFC. 91 minutes into the match, Daventry AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bob Hughes came free, but Lloyd Wells reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bedlington had played much better football throughout.
