Fowey United's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristian Manson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lloyd Wells breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Manson in the 11th minute of play forced Daventry AFC's goalkeeper Lloyd Wells to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristian Manson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Lloyd Wells tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daventry AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Kristian Manson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gareth Crosby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gareth Crosby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Lloyd Wells tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gareth Crosby got free with Lloyd Wells in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

After a rather tough play, Daventry AFC's Gez Booth got a free kick in the 54th minute. Zackary Hume shot a long shot in the 55th minute and a light blocked Lloyd Wells hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 2-0. Lloyd Wells was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lloyd Wells showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gareth Crosby, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Kristian Manson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute of the game, Gareth Crosby landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Brian Rutherford charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brian Rutherford the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fowey United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
