Spectators: 7480 (Terracing: 5610, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hugh Byrom kicked off to start the match. Shane Verity came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lambeth FC's Vic Wicks. But to his dismay, Vic Wicks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Lambeth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugh Byrom came free, but Edward Pearson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Vic Wicks ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shane Verity was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Vic Wicks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Verity having to interfere. Vic Wicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the The Clarets defense, Vic Wicks kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shane Verity. The The Clarets fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shane Verity should have stopped the shot. Shane Verity made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ethan Airton in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Hugh Byrom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Pearson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Toby Slater made a precise shot to the right of Edward Pearson. Lambeth FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 35th minute, Fitz Davey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shane Verity showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vic Wicks, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Nathanial Tyler charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nathanial Tyler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The throw-in from Kristian Welch in the 45th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Lambeth FC's Crispin Boyd. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Vic Wicks put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Shane Verity. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Vic Wicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vic Wicks who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Shane Verity when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ethan Airton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Verity having to interfere. Vic Wicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shane Verity stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vic Wicks's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, The Clarets's goalkeeper Shane Verity had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ethan Airton. Lambeth FC's Crispin Boyd managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Clive Gurney in the 66 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vic Wicks in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shane Verity prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Ethan Airton took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Shane Verity to make any attempt to save it. In the 73rd minute, Freddie Dryden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vic Wicks in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shane Verity saved The Clarets from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Freddie Dryden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lambeth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddie Dryden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shane Verity breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugh Byrom in the 84th minute of play forced Lambeth FC's goalkeeper Edward Pearson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, The Clarets's Hugh Byrom got a free kick in the 85th minute. Vic Wicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddie Dryden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Lambeth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Toby Slater came free, but Edward Pearson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lambeth FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
