Snailbeach and Stipe
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Curtis Wardle took the kick off in the first half of the match. Billie Middleton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gareth Crosby in the 5th minute of play. If Kristian Manson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0-1 became the score in the 9th minute when Gareth Crosby elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Kristian Manson came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Fowey United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristian Manson couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Snailbeach and Stiperstones United's Curtis Wardle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dennis Crossley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19thth minute of the game Gareth Crosby who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Snailbeach and Stiperstones United's Billie Middleton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gareth Crosby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Billie Middleton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Kristian Manson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Billie Middleton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 27th minute of the game, Rufus Sutherland landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Giles Davis's late challenge caught a Snailbeach and Stiperstones United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giles Davis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Fowey United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giles Davis to maneuver through the defense. Gareth Crosby struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Billie Middleton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fowey United. John Cutts took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Billie Middleton. Snailbeach and Stiperstones United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Snailbeach and Stiperstones United's zone, Gareth Crosby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Billie Middleton came out of the goal and Gareth Crosby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kristian Manson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Billie Middleton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gareth Crosby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Fowey United getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Giles Davis hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After 51 minutes, Tom Seaward mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Snailbeach and Stiperstones United and the Fowey United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fowey United booed when Snailbeach and Stiperstones United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Seaward didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute, Gareth Crosby fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Billie Middleton, passed just outside the right post. Kristian Manson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Billie Middleton made a huge save. Billie Middleton came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Fowey United's Gareth Crosby. But to his dismay, Gareth Crosby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After having played for 66 minutes, Gareth Crosby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fowey United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gareth Crosby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Snailbeach and Stiperstones United's Billie Middleton got control of the ball when Gareth Crosby tried to sneak it across the goal line. Billie Middleton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristian Manson's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 78th minute Kristian Manson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billie Middleton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Gareth Crosby notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Snailbeach and Stiperstones United's Billie Middleton. Billie Middleton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gareth Crosby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Kristian Manson sped through Snailbeach and Stiperstones United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Billie Middleton. With a little luck, Snailbeach and Stiperstones United's Billie Middleton got control of the ball when Gareth Crosby tried to sneak it across the goal line. Billie Middleton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristian Manson in the 91st minute of play. Fowey United played a much better game than Snailbeach and Stiperstones United and deserved their victory. The Snailbeach and Stiperstones United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
