Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rory Pilgrim kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Alexander Van Der Hoorn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coventry United's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Van Der Hoorn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jay Shaw breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denzil Fenwick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Syd Haugue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Van Der Hoorn kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. congelton saints's Denzil Fenwick got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeff Broadbent kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Syd Haugue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Toovey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rory Pilgrim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rory Pilgrim in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jay Shaw saved congelton saints from getting behind. In the 27th minute, Barry Gayle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jay Shaw didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexander Van Der Hoorn went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Barry Gayle kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Steve Higginson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coventry United's supporters rose to their feet, but Steve Higginson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jay Shaw breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute, congelton saints's Syd Haugue dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Jay Shaw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Pilgrim in the 39th minute of play. Rory Pilgrim struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Jay Shaw didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coventry United.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Syd Haugue to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Denzil Fenwick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. congelton saints's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denzil Fenwick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd minute, Syd Haugue made a precise shot to the right of Dean Toovey. Coventry United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 63 minutes into the match, Coventry United's goal looked a bit too open when Syd Haugue came free, but Dean Toovey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Coventry United's Toby Pickering got a free kick in the 64th minute. A collision led to Coventry United getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Toby Pickering hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Coventry United's goal looked a bit too open when Denzil Fenwick came free, but Dean Toovey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th match minute, Coventry United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Van Der Hoorn to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute of the match Jude Burnett shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dean Toovey showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When congelton saints's Syd Haugue in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coventry United's goalie prevented a goal. Steve Higginson took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jay Shaw. Jay Shaw dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. If Denzil Fenwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toby Pickering hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes congelton saints got a freekick which was hit by Jude Burnett. Rio Spink was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 87th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Denzil Fenwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coventry United's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
