Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dane Ellison started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dane Ellison in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Royal Brigade's goalkeeper Giles Breckin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giles Breckin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dane Ellison, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Stan Newbury in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Giles Breckin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 9 minutes, Stan Newbury managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honiton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stan Newbury was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luke Horner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lance Townsend in the 13th minute of the match. Giles Breckin was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Dane Ellison capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dane Ellison really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Luke Horner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calum Mudd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luke Horner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lance Townsend's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute Calum Mudd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Horner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 31 minutes, Lance Townsend managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Royal Brigade's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lance Townsend was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Calum Mudd charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calum Mudd the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute, Calum Mudd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Dane Ellison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giles Breckin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stan Newbury's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Giles Breckin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Giles Breckin was a little too slow when Stan Newbury got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Calum Mudd made the kick off in the second half. Calum Mudd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Luke Horner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dane Ellison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Honiton's Stan Newbury sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giles Breckin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th match minute, FC Royal Brigade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nath Merrill to maneuver through the defense. Stan Newbury struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Giles Breckin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honiton. Bryan Giugno hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Honiton's Luke Horner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calum Mudd in the 72nd minute of play. Dane Ellison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Giles Breckin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honiton had won after a very even match.
