Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dean Toovey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Larry Teague's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Steve Higginson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Lowndes having to interfere. Steve Higginson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Brendon Lowndes made a huge save. In the 18th minute, Larry Teague ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dean Toovey was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dean Toovey came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Stretford AFC's Keanu Postolan. But to his dismay, Keanu Postolan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Steve Higginson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Stretford AFC's goalkeeper Brendon Lowndes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steve Higginson. In the 37th minute Keanu Postolan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Toovey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 minutes of play, Stretford AFC's Keanu Postolan made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dean Toovey was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd minute, Toby Pickering hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Steve Higginson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Lowndes having to interfere. If Steve Higginson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Stretford AFC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Keanu Postolan made a kick off. When Bobby Emberson fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coventry United's protests and gave Bobby Emberson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th match minute, Coventry United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobby Emberson to maneuver through the defense. Larry Teague fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Toovey having to interfere. In the 59th minute Keanu Postolan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Toovey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dean Toovey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Larry Teague in the 62nd minute. Dean Toovey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keanu Postolan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ash Burbeary hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Rio Spink sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Stretford AFC's Brendon Lowndes didn't even have to move. A collision led to Coventry United getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Alexander Van Der Hoorn hit a great ball. Rupert England's late challenge caught a Coventry United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rupert England helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Coventry United. Rio Spink stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Brendon Lowndes. 1-4. 83 minutes into the match, Stretford AFC's Larry Teague sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dean Toovey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Larry Teague might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dean Toovey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Larry Teague ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute Rory Pilgrim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendon Lowndes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Coventry United's Dean Toovey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keanu Postolan in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Paul Lambert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stretford AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Lambert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Keanu Postolan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Toovey having to interfere. When Alexander Van Der Hoorn fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coventry United's protests and gave Alexander Van Der Hoorn a yellow card for diving instead. Stretford AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rupert England in the 99th minute. The corner led Stretford AFC's Rupert England to fire away a dangerous shot which Dean Toovey despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Stretford AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
