With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donny Christie in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Will Edmunds saved Heswall City from getting behind. Reuben Buckley kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeff Kitchen during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Heswall City's Jeff Kitchen got a free kick in the 28th minute. Nathan Osbourn struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. After the first half Heswall City were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeff Kitchen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Will Edmunds made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathan Osbourn in the 56th minute of play. Jeff Kitchen struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Julian Peacock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heswall City. Nathan Osbourn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Chelsea F.C's Nathan Osbourn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Will Edmunds narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donny Christie might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Will Edmunds. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donny Christie ran back to his position shaking his head. Damian Halliday kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Julian Peacock successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Norman Downs was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Johnathan Moorhouse who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Julian Peacock when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Donny Christie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donny Christie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Edmunds having to interfere.
