Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Paybridge Celtic's Wesley Charles started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Hugh Ellerby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in PugPugPug CF's zone, Iain Steel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlton Millman came out of the goal and Iain Steel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roy Dwyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Carlton Millman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Syd Rotherfield during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paybridge Celtic's Wesley Charles got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19 minutes, Kris Shipperley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paybridge Celtic and the PugPugPug CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Paybridge Celtic got a freekick which was hit by Kris Shipperley. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Eddy Newton managed to get in a good position for a shot. PugPugPug CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddy Newton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lewis Winstanley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute, PugPugPug CF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wesley Charles fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 25 played minutes PugPugPug CF got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Anson. If Iain Steel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paybridge Celtic's Wesley Charles got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wesley Charles might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlton Millman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wesley Charles ran back to his position shaking his head. Roy Dwyer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlton Millman having to make a save. Paybridge Celtic's Hugh Ellerby got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodd Mulligan's late challenge caught a PugPugPug CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodd Mulligan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of PugPugPug CF booed when Paybridge Celtic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodd Mulligan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eddy Newton, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Paybridge Celtic's Wesley Charles got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Syd Rotherfield stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Paybridge Celtic booed when PugPugPug CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddy Newton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wesley Charles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlton Millman having to interfere. Syd Rotherfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Winstanley having to interfere. When Wesley Charles came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Paybridge Celtic fans jumped to their feet. Carlton Millman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Dwyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Carlton Millman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wesley Charles's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Carlton Millman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugh Ellerby in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Roy Dwyer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paybridge Celtic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Hugh Ellerby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlton Millman having to interfere. Wesley Charles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 96 minutes, Dean Coburn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PugPugPug CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dean Coburn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Paybridge Celtic were the better team. Paybridge Celtic's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
