In the 10th minute Josh Hatcher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathan Workman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ralph Forrester blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nathan Workman having to make a save. If Ralph Forrester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Banafshe FC's Josh Hatcher sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nathan Workman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tristram Hicks kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Nathan Workman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ralph Forrester's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Nathan Workman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ralph Forrester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banafshe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ralph Forrester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nathan Workman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 minutes, Noel Waterhouse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Banafshe FC and the Glensdale players grew even worse after the yellow card. Noel Waterhouse hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Nathan Workman came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Banafshe FC's Ralph Forrester. But to his dismay, Ralph Forrester quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Bryan Stead blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nathan Fowler having to make a save. Thanks to some nice moves Ralph Forrester could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Nathan Workman however easily saved by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bryan Stead in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nathan Fowler saved Banafshe FC from getting behind. Jay Nelson's late challenge caught a Glensdale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jay Nelson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Banafshe FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jay Nelson hit a great ball. The supporters of Glensdale booed when Banafshe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jay Nelson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralph Forrester who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Nathan Workman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 86th of the match, Josh Hatcher tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Nathan Workman got in the way and made a wonderful save. When Ralph Forrester came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Banafshe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralph Forrester couldn't finish the play.
