Andy Sands blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Connor Wendon having to make a save. Jason Pearson charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some careless play in the Lytham City defense, Andy Sands kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Connor Wendon. The Lytham City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Connor Wendon should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, Theo Bamford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fred Morgan was the one to do the kick off. When Fred Morgan came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Lytham City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Morgan couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andy Sands in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Connor Wendon saved Lytham City from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Bring Back Boris:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lytham City:s goal. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Lytham City. Jason Pearson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bruce Woodford. 1-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gwyn Heslop during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lytham City getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Gwyn Heslop hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Connor Wendon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Andy Sands fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Wendon having to interfere. If Andy Sands had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Sands in the 97th minute of play forced Lytham City's goalkeeper Connor Wendon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Bring Back Boris could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lytham City throughout the match.
