Bryan Stead received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Lewis Winstanley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paybridge Celtic's Roy Dwyer got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the game, Glensdale's Nath Jordoan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lewis Winstanley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nath Jordoan was the one to do the kick off. Nathan Workman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wesley Charles's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Nathan Workman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesley Charles, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Hugh Ellerby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Workman having to interfere. After 57 played minutes, Paybridge Celtic's Kris Shipperley shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nathan Workman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paybridge Celtic reached it. Paybridge Celtic's Wesley Charles got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, Glensdale's goal looked a bit too open when Iain Steel came free, but Nathan Workman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugh Ellerby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nathan Workman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugh Ellerby in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Wesley Charles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nathan Workman. Glensdale's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wesley Charles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Wesley Charles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Paybridge Celtic players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
