Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when CJ Pollard got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Don Roebuck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Easingwold FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dartford FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Easingwold FC's Don Roebuck got a free kick in the 4th minute. Philip Coe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Dennis Preston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Dartford FC's Tom Lamb nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dennis Preston made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Dale Alcock had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dennis Preston. Easingwold FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dale Alcock was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Dale Alcock came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Dartford FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dale Alcock couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Dartford FC booed when Easingwold FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Roebuck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 28 played minutes Dartford FC got a freekick which was hit by Vincent MacDonald. Gavin Kerfoot was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Joseph Elliot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Robert Fielden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 minutes, Dennis Bolton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dartford FC and the Easingwold FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Dartford FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Bolton to maneuver through the defense. Joseph Elliot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Robert Fielden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vincent MacDonald kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Dartford FC got a freekick which was hit by Trev Gilchrist. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tom Lamb to make the kick off. Joseph Elliot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Fielden having to interfere. The audience was convinced that CJ Pollard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Fielden was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Dennis Preston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Lamb in the 60th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Neil Carragher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Dartford FC's zone, Joseph Elliot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Fielden came out of the goal and Joseph Elliot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Dale Alcock ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dennis Preston was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Joseph Elliot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Easingwold FC's Dennis Preston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Easingwold FC from getting a goal against them. When Kelvin Fleming came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Easingwold FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kelvin Fleming couldn't finish the play. Joseph Elliot struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Robert Fielden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Easingwold FC. In the 87th minute CJ Pollard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Fielden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dale Alcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Joseph Elliot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert Fielden was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Dartford FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Easingwold FC's much stronger midfield.
