FYR of Slough's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aldeburgh the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, FYR of Slough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liam Curtis to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sly Neville in the 11th minute of play forced Aldeburgh's goalkeeper Tyrone May to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th match minute, Aldeburgh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ray Skinner to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Thomas Barfield reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Junior Chiverton. The goal made the score 1-0. Sly Neville received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tyrone May tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ashley Robins came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Aldeburgh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ashley Robins couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 44 in the game by Thomas Barfield from a close distance when the talented Junior Chiverton managed to make a qualified save. FYR of Slough's players were relieved. 46 minutes into the match, Ivan Wallbank had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tyrone May. Aldeburgh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Wallbank was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Steven Tisdale made the kick off in the second half. If Steven Tisdale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Junior Chiverton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Barfield in the 61st minute of the match. Sly Neville sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ivan Wallbank might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tyrone May. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Wallbank ran back to his position shaking his head. Tyrone May made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sly Neville in the 65th minute of play. FYR of Slough's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Allan Gough in the 69th minute. Aldeburgh's Tyrone May played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sly Neville in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Thomas Barfield managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aldeburgh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Barfield was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thomas Barfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Steven Tisdale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Thomas Barfield put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Junior Chiverton. Junior Chiverton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Barfield in the 83rd minute of the match. If Thomas Barfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Aldeburgh's Ray Skinner got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute Thomas Barfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Junior Chiverton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute Sly Neville shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone May saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Barfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Junior Chiverton having to interfere.
